How far along: 18 weeks
How big is baby: Sweet Potato
Total weight change: I am slowly gaining some back I am up 3 but
still down 7 (same as last week) I have an appt this week and am
wondering if they will say this is okay or not.
Symptoms: breathing sucks, sneezing makes my belly hurt from RLP pain, so tired
Maternity clothes: Not
yet, but soon I think. I had to use my belly band with 2 pairs of my
work pants last week. But most of them still fit just fine.
Still not really showing but my lower belly is getting harder and my permapudge (I can never get rid of it) is a little larger!
Stretch marks: only what I started with
Sleep: Ahhh sleep, I love you so much!
Best moment of this week: My ILs came over with a baby gift yesterday she said it was baby's Easter gift, it is a ducky toy that jingles and can clip onto a car seat
Miss anything: liking to eat protein, sneeze without pain and to be able to brush my teeth without gagging and dry heaves (same as last week)
Movement: maybe. I think I have felt things a few times but nothing consistant. Just a few flutters here and there and it is SO weird!
Food cravings: I just love fruit right now
Food Aversions: Protein...I have to force myself to eat meat.
Sex: Girl!
Labor signs: no way again

Looking forward to: Telling my parents in just a couple hours!!

I can almost tell! I can almost tell!! :) (my parents)
I should have just done the phone call and gotten it over with. The last 2.5 weeks have sucked so hard!!
But my parents are finally home and we are going there Sunday!
We can't make it tomorrow (Friday) :( bummer too because my brother and SIL are going to be there.
I thought we could go Saturday morning before our other plans but my dad won't be home... UGH!
So Sunday it is... As long as they will both be around... I need to double check on that one!
18 weeks and finally telling my mother... geez!!!
Then we can call my bio Dad and tell him what evs on that one... but he will be excited... he will never see her but he will be excited. Or maybe he will come up more than once every 2 years! Not going to hold my breath on that one though!
and then the sibs... of course my brother is going on vacation leaving this weekend for a week so maybe we will just call or we will wait a week... and finally tell E's sister and BIL they will be so excited...
and I am sure will want to clear out what baby stuff they may still have in their basement!
We are waiting to go FB public until after our Anatomy Scan on the 17th. I am thinking I will probably post something on my birthday, since we are going on a mini vacation right after the A/S and coming home the day before my birthday. And then that gives me a chance to tell my boss before I post!
Of course I will post the reaction Sunday...
and then Tuesday I have an OB appt and get to hear pengys HB again I am so excited. I keep thinking up questions and I really should write them down because I forget them so quickly!

17 weeks! Holy crap!
How on earth am I 17 weeks already???
Didn't I just pee on 5 million sticks and get my betas done??
None of this feels real yet!
Much of this stays the same!

First baby purchases!
It is so strange that I bought something for my baby!!
But Target was having a kick ass sale on the Ergo baby carrier...
So after asking if it was worth me going to get one and being told 1000% yes I trekked to Target after work!
I feel like an extreme couponer! My Target only had 2 black ones so I will exchange for the color I actually want later but it was $112-$20 (coupon)-$23 (20% coupon) -$3.70 (5% for using target red card)=$68.40 and got a $20 target gift card! so I consider that $48.40 plus tax!
Go me! Although I want the grey one... E said he kind of likes the black one so I need to decide if I am going to go exchange.
I also bought a super soft fuzzy blankie... I want it to be my blankie!

Best moment of this week: Finding out we are TEAM PINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhh that makes me so happy. I actually bought a girl outfit the other day. It was so strange that I was buying something for MY child.

We have a team!!!
It was decided that I call the genetic counselor yesterday morning. Hubs told me I could just wait until after work to tell him!
I was going to have a great secret ALL DAY LONG!!!!

So I pulled into the work parking lot and decided I could not wait any longer and called. (I was going to call at lunch)
Asked for A and they wanted to know why so I said to get a test result.

I sat on hold for a while and she picked up and said she thought she had already given me the results, and it took so long because she had to pull my file. I said she had given us the results but that we had decided to find out the sex. She got all excited and said it was 99.4% accurate and always a good idea to have it comfirmed at our anatomy scan on the 17th.
Not a problem, we planned on keeping it quiet for at least that long anyway!!
So she asked if I was ready, uh duh yes just tell me already!!!!! and she said...
The test is 99.4% accurate as I said before and they found....
No Y chromosomes present! You are having a GIRL!!!!!! I squealed in her hear and she started laughing and asked it I was excited! I told her that I have thought girl since day one! she said there was something to be said for intuition!
So I sent a text to hubs being the mature adult that I am "I know something you don't know!! Neener neener neener!" I sent him that again toward the end of the day cuz he ignored me!
He got home from work and I was waiting for him to ask. I was going to do something cute but didn't feel up to it. We chatted about other baby related things and I kept thinking that was going to be the next question... 4 hours later he looked at me when we were going to bed and goes... 'Hey, you still know something I don't!'
So I had him guess... He kept saying gosh I don't know I am a bad guesser...
Then finally said Ummm... Girl. I think he was in shock when I said yes!
I think he was excited, it was hard to tell.

Then immediately said we needed to come up with names. I told him i didnt want to tell anyone the name after we picked it. He seemed okay with that.
Them suggested Helga and Brunhilda as viable options. I told him maybe we could tell people that to make them shut up!!

Finding out tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :)

So hubs and I chatted...
We decided that waiting until my parents come home is the best idea so we can tell them in person and it will be better for everyone.
So sometime after April 1st. I think they are leaving Arizona either March 31 or April 1st and probably 3 days home unless they push it.
2.5 weeks... I think we can! Hubs goes "well if we can keep it quiet until then" I have purposely only been texting and emailing my mom mostly so I don't slip up. I feel horrible but I think she will understand!
So we are not telling anyone else until then. So the sibs have to wait and I think FB will have to wait until after our A/S.
And then I told him I was 72.93718% sure I wanted to find out if the penguin was a boy or a girl. And he said he was leaning more toward finding out lately as well. So I told him I could call the Genetic Counselor in the morning. And he said go for it.
We decided we would not say anything until after our A/S on 4/17 (well obvs I can't NOT tell my internet creepers!) So watch for an announcement tomorrow.
