HSG Day!! Could not sleep last night, i was nervous, at least at work i was busy to distract myself, but on my way to the U from work I thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest.
I made it there and down to the basement where the radiology department is located and signed in 20 minutes early. They took me back to the change area. The gown and the black dress socks and dress shoes was quite a look!! It was HOTT!
They walked me down the hall to the room they were doing the test in and had me hop up on the table. Knees in these stirrup things and they put in the speculum and went to insert the balloon thingy and catheter through the cervix. HOLY CRAP did that hurt. The cramps were so bad. One of the nurses was telling me to breathe through it and finally they got it in. Once I got to put my knees down the pain eased up a little bit.
The table slid back to be under the xray thingy and monitor and it was go time.
The started to push the dye in and the cramping was back but not as bad. It was cool to watch the screen and see the dye as it filled and spilled. The Dr that was there said "that was just beautiful" So I guess the tubes are clear, such a relief!!
Now 5 hours later still have a little cramping and some spotting but nothing too bad.
Once I got home we each had an envelope from Dr S's office. Mine was all of my blood work results, didn't mean a whole lot to me, but I finally know my blood type!
E's envelope had paperwork for some blood work and his repeat SA and a business card for a urologist to make an appointment. He can go do the blood work this week and then the SA when he gets back from teaching. It totally sucks that he is gone next week when I should O. So I will drive down and see him espec on Tuesday after the RE appt, so I can tell him the options. I wonder if IUI will be mentioned with his SA results?

Some off and on cramps today but nothing major. This afternoon I had a message to call Dr S's office so I called back and they were following up on my progesterone level being so low. Dr S didn't think I ovulated last month, and said she was going to send me info on Clomid and Femara meds I might have to go on to help with ovulation.
I told her I was coming in next week, so she said she wouldn't mail it and we could just discuss it next week. I am going to take my charts with me because I don't think it is an every month thing. So good news yesterday to bad news today. Back to patiently waiting for answers.

Temp was low yesterday and today - not sure about today. Wasn't the best nights sleep at grandmas. OPK yesterday was very close to positive if not positive around 3pm. So good thing we got it on at least once if that is correct. I have had left side cramps all day, so who knows if today was O or not, still testing to see if it was a fluke until temps do something, hope they jump tomorrow and Tuesday so maybe we can discuss on Tuesday. Earliest ever if it actually is right.
Might work out for CD3 blood work around NC vaca!! Maybe just maybe we won't need intervention. Maybe.. Dull migraine today too. Usually a symptom, hopefully I at least O'd even if it isn't the month.
I am almost 37 and hubs is 38 we were 34 and 35 when we started this crazy journey May of 2011. It has been a long road and I am hoping we get our happy ending soon.

Testing (back in time)
Wednesday July 11, 2012
Started getting a migraine yesterday while going to bed, have had a tinge of it all day today as well. That ALWAYS happens before AF comes. Temp dropped this morning, real or not that is the question.
Slept in the guest room and was up early to temp. Then while sitting here tonight got the urge to test, so used a cheap test and of course BFN again, I knew it would be.
Let's see tomorrow what happens.
Friday July 13, 2012
Temps were way down this morning so I called to schedule my HSG for 7/23 and my followup to get all my test results on 7/31. Of course 7/31 i my FW and E is going to be out of town to teach at band camp. I might have to make a road trip or two to see him!
We will see what Dr S says and hope the HSG goes good.
Spotting started tonight so tomorrow will most likely be CD1. That means Monday i can go for my Cd3 blood work, yay more poking and bruising!
Oh and yesterday I had false hope when my temp went back up a bit so of course I tested. Can you guess what that one was? Yep negative. Thank goodness for cheap tests!
Sunday July 15, 2012
Went for a 4 mile bike ride this morning, it helped with the cramps a little bit. Also started taking the meds from my foot doctor for my foot pain. I am only going to take it for 2 weeks instead of the full month he wants me to take it for.
Going bright and early for CD3 blood work and Tuesday E has his SA. Such good times this week :(
the next 2 weeks kinda suck ass but on the 31st I(we) will have answers.
Monday July 16, 2012
Went for blood work this morning, didn't even feel it until I was on my way out and it started to hurt for pretty much the rest of the day, but it might not bruise.
Tomorrow is the appt for the SA, so hopefully things are okay with both of us and we can move on quickly. Next week is my HSG and I am already worried about it. 2 weeks until all the results! I thought for sure I would have gotten a call at some point but nope. At this point it doesn't matter and I will wait it out.
Thursday July 19, 2012
E went for his SA on Tuesday and they told him they would have the results in a couple days so we are waiting on that call, hoping all is well.
Today I got a call from a nurse with Dr S's office. She said that my thyroid TSH is 2.8 this last test while it is lower than it has been they want it under 2.5 so I am going to start Synthroid tomorrow, hope that also helps with the tiredness and weight gain. I have to go for CD3 blood work again after taking it for a 4-6 weeks so that should time out okay if this cycle doesn't work out.
Monday is the HSG, kind of scared of what they will find.
Friday July 20, 2012
Welllllll Jenni the nurse called again! and then remembered she already called about the thyroid, but she had forgotten to tell me about my progesteron which was low enough for them to question which day I had my blood work done on. I told her I was temping so it was 7dpo so she was going to pass that back to Dr S.
I am sure I will get put on something for that at some point. E had also gotten a call today and of course didn't know any of the details but was told everything looked good but "the swimmers were not swimming as good as they could be" (so is that really things look good?) So he is getting paperwork for retesting and talking to the Dr. I also asked for my results to be sent to me, so right now I am trying to stay up when things are starting to look down.
A few bumps in the road that I hope are small and we can get over quickly. Hopefully at least I will feel better from the thyroid meds. Monday is the HSG - hopefully this doesn't bring another bump in the road...
I don't know if I can handle another bump. On the 31st at least I will be able to talk to Dr S and get a plan together.
